'The Nant' operates as a 'gastro pub' style restaurant with a great variety of food, beers and wines. 'Dawsons Bar Cuisine's menu is very 'eclectic' with local and regional dishes rubbing shoulders with food from Mexico, China, even Japan and other regions of the world!

Perhaps the Nant really comes into its own when booked as a private venue for a special occasion or on one of the many special events regularly held. Uniquely, we can cater for over 200 people at one time (300 if the sun shines!), but because of its design, we can split the building into smaller rooms, so almost any size of party can be accommodated.

All in all, the Nant offers locals and visitors to the area a fabulous spot to relax and enjoy good hospitality; but when you have to do business, you will not find a better venue to look after your requirements and specific needs.

Also because of the Nant's flexible layout and convenient location, many local businesses hold meetings in one of the private rooms. Outside the Nant there is car parking for over 100 cars and over 6 acres of grounds with two large paddocks at the front. There are also large open grassed areas to the side and rear where marquees for up to 400 people can be sited.

History
The Nant Hall Hotel stands on the site of the old residence Plas y Nant. Plas y Nant is the traditional site of the old welsh chieftans residence in the district. During the reign of Henry II it was taken over by the English and in 1167 it was destroyed by Owain Glyndwr. From the 15th century Plas y Nant was the seat of the Williams family. Charles II is said to have stayed there during his tour of North Wales after the reformation.
