Set up by New Zealander Paul McCathie in 2005, Goodleaf Tree Climbing Adventures provides supervised climbs using ropes and harnesses in ancient oak trees on the Isle of Wight.
The climb starts with a safety briefing, then climbers are fitted with harnesses and hard hats. Paul talks you through what to expect, and you will be clipped in to the ropes, which are securely fastened to the tree. After watching a demonstration, you'll then begin your ascent, closely supervised and instructed throughout.
Once you have climbed as high as you can go, you can then choose to hang out in the canopy, before you come down by abseiling through the branches. A picnic of tea & homemade cake awaits you on the ground.
Climbs are undertaken in small groups and are an individual experience, so they can be as fast or as slow as you would like. Please contact us to discuss tree climbing for larger groups.
