Uplands Tavern

The Uplands Tavern is situated in the heart of the Uplands area of Swansea, a thriving, bustling area with a past steeped in history.

The pub is run by Howard and Lesley King and recently refurbished with "state of the art" PA system for Live Bands to use.

The pub has a long association with one of Wales' most famous sons - Dylan Thomas - who frequented the Tavern in its much earlier guise as The Uplands Hotel nearly 30 years ago.

Maintaining this link with the arts, Howard and Lesley have transformed the tavern into one of South Wales best live music venues featuring a mix of local and touring talent. Bands such as Karnataka and the Rag Foundation, who have now found their feet on the international music stage, began their careers in the Tavern.
