Sherwood Forest, once home to the famous outlaw Robin Hood, is a magical and legendary place. Today the forest is valued for its unique ecological importance and to walk amongst the ancient and majestic oaks is wonderful.

Start your exploration of the forest at the visitor centre. There are exhibitions that portray Robin Hood as well as exhibit the importance of the forest area. Browse the shops, or perhaps stop for refreshment at the 'Forest Table Restaurant'.

Visit in spring when the forest is teeming with birdlife, or perhaps visit in autumn and witness the awe inspiring array of colours throughout the area. Beautiful.
