The Red Lion

The Red Lion Hotel is situated in the picturesque village of Burnsall, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Originally a 16th century Ferryman's inn, the Red Lion Hotel is open for accommodation and meals throughout the year; we offer superb food, fine wines and real ale.

All our bedrooms are individually designed and furnished - successfully combining ancient and modern. Gleaming bathrooms, Victorian brass beds, beamed ceilings, antique furniture - our Honeymoon Suites even have log fires. Most of the rooms also offer wonderful views to the river and the fells beyond.

The sitting room is the ideal place to relax - with aperitifs before dinner, with coffee afterwards, or just with a good book in front of the roaring log fire.
