We celebrate the centenary of Dylan's great friend and fellow Swansea poet Vernon Watkins, explore Dylan's connections with New York, premiere more new works inspired by Dylan, and showcase writers and performers from Wales and beyond.

We also mark the great Samuel Beckett's centenary with a major exhibition and talk by his favoured photographer John Minihan, and offer our usual brew of theatre, cinema, exhibitions, celebrity interviews and music, to add to the purely literary events.

Moreover, this year we announce the first winner of the new Dylan Thomas Prize, awarding £60,000 to an original published work by an author under 30, underlining Swansea's ongoing commitment to the legacy of its most famous son.
