Bramah Museum of Tea & Coffee is the world's first museum devoted entirely to the history of tea and coffee. It is located only two minutes from London Bridge Station, in area that was once the heart of the London tea trade. The museum displays an intriguing collection of tea and coffee paraphernalia.
Edward Bramah has been conducting tea seminars for the past ten years, which are of special interest to Japanese visitors. They are usually held on Fridays and start at 2pm and involve a talk about the history of the UK tea trade, a video on tea production followed by afternoon tea.
The café is well known for its wide range of leaf tea, coffee and cakes. You can sample a traditional cream tea, comprising of scones with clotted cream and jam, cake and tea of your choice for £7 or a delicious afternoon tea of cucumber sandwiches, hot crumpet, tea cake, cake and choice of tea for £9.
