Dearnford Trout Fishery

Dearnford Trout Fishery is set amidst pleasant and scenic surrounds one mile south of Whitchurch. Whether you are a seasoned angler or a complete novice, there is sport to be had by all. The fifteen-acre lake is stocked with Rainbow and Brown trout and there are four islands and banks that are clear for casting.

The company offer fly-casting and fly-tying tuition by prior arrangement and only barbless hooks may be used. There is Rod and boat hire available and access for disabled including Mk II Wheelyboat and powered wheelchair. Lodge facilities provide snacks and there are toilet facilities and a large car park. The fishery manager can arrange corporate days tailored to suit your needs.

The business sells a large selection of flies, landing nets, fly-tying equipment, reels, fishing line and other small items. A picnic site and adjacent field is available for events. Dearnford Trout fishery is open from 8.00am to dusk.
