The Fashion and Textile Museum is the only one in London solely dedicated to the fashion industry. The museum was founded by Zandra Rhodes and hosts two or three major exhibitions a year, alongside an education and outreach programme. The building in its own right is an architectural masterpiece, designed by world acclaimed architect Ricardo
Legorreta, located in one of the fashion capitals of the world. The exhibitions showcase the immense changes and trends in contemporary fashion and textiles, in order to educate and excite a wide audience in all areas of fashion and textile design.
Inspiring Young Minds is an education programme targeting students from school age to those in higher or further education by offering tours and practical workshops, including fashion illustration and fashion forecasting basics.
From the 1st of February, there will be a small selection on display from the permanent collection, entitled 'Pretty Pleats and Pleasant Peasants'. This is on view to the public in groups of five or more, including a workshop and by appointment only.
