A traditional country pub nestling in the South Downs near Alfriston close to the Long Man of Wilmington, The Sussex Ox is set in almost 2 acres of park-like grounds and boasts a characterful public bar area as well as The Garden Room overlooking the back garden and also the more formal Dining Room.
The pub serves a great range of real ales including Harvey's of Lewes, Dark Star Hophead & other guest ales. A wine list has been created to cover all palates, from a great French Sauvignon Blanc, all the way to a Chilean Merlot, via a juicy rose and tempting sparkling white as a well-priced alternative to Champagne.
The pubs restaurant, serviced by 3 trained chefs, offers a menu that uses raw ingredients from a range of local suppliers including Burts Family Butchers in Sidley and Chapman's Fishmongers in Sevenoaks.
