The Royal Ballet Is a well loved company that invest much in new work, while respecting the traditional repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries. Of all the touring companies, BRB probably has the widest repertoire and this, coupled with a feeling of the dancers working together no matter what the piece, makes them a pleasure to see. Recently the company have also been undertaking some touring to smaller venues in the UK
The Royal Ballet Sinfonia has appeared with many of the world's other leading ballet companies, including Paris Opéra Ballet, New York City Ballet, Australian Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and, most recently, with the Kirov during its London Coliseum Christmas season of The Nutcracker. The orchestra's opera performances include The Royal Opera's nationally acclaimed production of Turandot at Wembley Arena.
A first class programme provide a fine evening's entertainment, where the Royal Ballet Sinfonia blends perfectly with soloists and principal dancers from the Birmingham Royal Ballet. The Birmingham audience are fabulous, if noisy at times, and for those tired of the poshness of London and the Royal Opera House a trip to Birmingham is a real tonic. The Royal Ballet is a superb venue and is sure to entertain and engage all who attend its performances.
