Marischal Museum

Marischal Museum is located in the centre of Aberdeen in Marischal College, in the University of Aberdeen. The museum is housed in a stately building is the second largest granite building in the world.

Marischal Museum was founded in 1786, with donations by generations of friends and graduates of the University. The impressive collection ranks alongside the largest in the world and ranges from Egyptian and Classical antiquities, non-Western ethnography and Scottish prehistory.

Marischal Museum offers something to interest everyone and is open throughout the year. Entry to the Marischal Museum is free.
