The Swansea Bay Rider is a 72 seater land train that runs alone Swansea promenade, from St. Helens to Mumbles, making regular stops all along the way. It follows a section of the route taken by the famous Mumbles Train, the first passenger railway in the world.
As well as giving passengers a spectacular view of Swansea Bay, the whole trip between Blackpill and Mumbles only taking a half hour. It also takes in a number of attractions along the way, including water fun at Blackpill Lido, the peace and tranquillity at the stunning Clyne Gardens and the family fun of the Singleton Park Boating Lake.
Setting off from Singleton Park Boating Lake you will get to see all the stops, including the Botanical Gardens, Ashleigh Road Golf Course, Clyne Gardens, Blackpill Lido and finally coming to rest at the Southend Gardens. The train offers a special evening excursion on Halloween, it offers the public a unique view of the bay, not seen at any other time of the year. This requires bookings in advance.
