The Byron Farmers Market is held every Thursday morning from 8am to 11am and has been operating since December 2002.
Located at the Butler Street reserve, there is plenty of parking and an ever increasing number of tempting stalls with fresh local produce.
Produce available changes with the seasons, but year-round staples include: sugar cane juice freshly juiced, macadamia nuts and products including oils spreads & muesli.
Delish smoked fish, prawns farmed in Ballina River, prime cuts of beef, pork raised in the hills behind Byron and made into bacon & sausages by a local butcher. Organically grown turkeys, chickens & their eggs. Coffee, breads, olives, honey - raw, creamed and comb!
The Byron Farmers Markets is an experience which is satisfying for everyone, as farmers build a customer base the benefits are an ever widening circle of improvement to life on the land, in the kitchens throughout Byron Shire & the North coast region.
