The campsite has running water facilities and also has the advantage of being situated right at the foot of the Mourne Mountains.
The toilet and shower facilities are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The showers run on tokens available in the coffee shop for £1. They last around 8 minutes, and are sure to warm you up after a cold walk in the Mournes. For the campers, the small hut provides cold running water. Our showers and toilets are wheelchair accessible.
Local attractions include Tollymore Forest Park and the Silent Valley - both just a short walk away. A short car or taxi journey can take you into the local town, Newcastle, which boasts numerous horse-riding centres, swimming facilities and the world renown Royal County Down Golf Club. The newly refurbished south promenade offers a truly spectacular way to access the three miles of beach. A short walk will lead you to the Murlough Natural Nature Reserve - one of County Down's coastal treasures, home to numerous wildlife and some rare breeds.
