Barry Pumpa has been working throughout the medical field for some 30 odd yrs. Trianing in many forms from deep massage therapy, tuina (a kind of chinese massage), body mind therapy, cranial therapy and kinesiology to name a few.
In his early years he spent time perfecting his skill on his injured friends, then volunteering for the Albury border rescue squad. 1985 saw him putting his skill to the test with a football club treating to a wide variety of injuries. He then went on to getting his diploma in remedial massage and certification in bowen technique in 1991.
In the last 15 yrs he has been continuisly perfecting and educating his techniques through his own centre, Albury North remedial therapy centre. Massage has profound effects on the health of the person being massage. It improves circulation, relaxes muscles, aids digestion and, by stimulating the lymphatic system, it speeds up the elimination of waste products.
The Kinesio Taping method has taken the Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine world by storm. Since development by Dr Kenzo nearly 20 years ago in Japan, Kinesio Taping has become the standard for therapeutic taping in the US. The method of taping uses a uniquely designed and patented tape for treatment of muscular disorders and lymphedema reduction.
