Bishop's Park, located in Fulham on the northern banks of the River Thames is a public garden in close vicinity to Putney Bridge. The park used to form part of the estate of Fulham Palace but the local authority bought it in order to provide a green space close to the river for locals to enjoy.
The park is a welcome restbite from the expensive towering apartment buildings and offices along the river banks, where you can escape the fast pace of city living. Bishop's Park attracts large crowds of picnickers in the summer months and is a popular jaunt for dog walkers, joggers and cyclists.
Work is currently underway to refurbish the paddling pools and essential maintenance work is taking place in the children's play area. The park contains a boating lake and café, where you can relax and watch the world go by or many people like to play sports such as rugby or footbal in the park.
