Neilsons is one of Gippsland's leading fine dining restaurants. Established in 2001 by Brad Neilson and Damien Gannon, Neilsons' innovative menu - under the guidance of Executive Chef Lewis Prince - and warm atmosphere have won rave reviews and a loyal clientele.

Situated in a beautifully renovated Californian bungalow at 13 Seymour St Traralgon, Neilsons has featured in The Age Good Food Guide each year since opening. It also won the hospitality section of the Gippsland Business Awards in 2003 and 2004.

Neilsons features a unique boutique gallery, displaying the works of some of Gippsland's most acclaimed artists. Most works are available to be purchased.

Neilsons is, without doubt, one of the premier dining experiences in country Victoria.

Neilsons is in an intimate, Edwardian house, stylishly decorated with artworks, antiques and candelabra, Gippslanders flock to create a noisy weekend buzz at low, pressed-tin tables. Oyster fans come here for the freshly shucked trio:natural, Kilpatrick (lightly sauced with house-made Worcestershire) and one that changes daily, such as mango and kaffir lime salsa. House-made pastas are outstanding, as in chilli linguine with a prawn gremolata, topped with a plump 'devil on horseback'. The rabbit pie is draped with a lid of superb shortcrust pastry, and aged Gippsland eye fillet, cooked as requested, comes on a mild blue-cheese potato pancake with caperberries and a beetroot jus. Desserts, such as a spicy rhubarb crème brulee with cardamom icecream, finish a fab evening.
