Located in the Yorkshire town of Richmond, Green Howards Regimental Museum offers a collection that spans three centuries of travel, campaigning and war. Artefacts and photographs of the Crimean War, the North-West Frontier of India, the Boer War and archive film of World War I form part of the vivid presentation of the Green Howards' story in both peace and war.
The unique Collins' Collection of uniforms and head-dress includes rare examples from 1768 to the present day of the regular Green Howards, North York Militia and Volunteers.
There are more than 3,750 medals and decorations including eighteen Victoria Crosses and three George Crosses presented to members of the Regiment for acts of supreme courage. 16 of the actual Victoria Crosses and 1 of the actual George Crosses are on display.
