Salisbury Cathedral is a remarkable building. The Cathedral was built in just 38 years from AD1220 to 1258, the first Cathedral school was founded in 1091 by Bishop Osmund at Old Sarum, which was the original settlement site for Salisbury.

Enjoy spectacular views as you explore the roof spaces and tower, climbing 332 steps in easy stages by narrow winding spiral staircases to reach to the foot of the spire 225 feet above ground level.

A tour of the Cathedral, Chapter House and Magna Carta takes just over an hour, although tours can be adjusted to meet your schedule. You may wish to extend your stay with time for refreshments in the spectacular glass roofed restaurant.
