Moyse's Hall Museum provides a window onto the Heritage collections of St Edmundsbury. Here you will find items that may bring back memories from your past, fascinating objects associated with local characters, along with more gruesome items!
The collections are housed in one of England's rare surviving Norman houses where the original features are still clearly visible. In its long history Moyse's Hall has been used as a gaol, fire station and a railway parcels office, before opening as a museum in 1899.
Moyse's Hall is accessible to all and in the last two years has introduced taped tours aimed at the partially sighted. Guided tours are available with a Victorian gentleman and there are two new loan boxes for use by schools and other community groups.
