Hyde Park has something for everyone amid its 350 acres, brimming with trees, a lake, meadow land and numerous facilities, such as a playground, The Lookout education centre, a range of eateries, paddling pool, tennis and sports centre and deckchairs from April to September.

A number of guided walks occur throughout the year, band concerts and Hyde Park Christmas funfair, runs from 21st Dec until 7th Jan (excluding Christmas Day). The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain is open throughout the entire year and is symbolic of her life.

The park is a popular spot for rollerblading, rowing, wildlife watching and horse riding. Most pitch-based sports activities are facilitated, there is a 6 rink flat green bowling green and putters and balls available for hire. In the summer many people simply enjoy relaxing in the park and picnicking.

The Dell licensed restaurant serves a wide selection of food and The Lido Café is a great place to watch the world go by, from the alfresco dining area. Both restaurants are open 9am-8pm in the summer and 10am-4pm in the winter. The Hyde Park Tennis Centre Café welcomes players and spectators and refreshment points serving snacks are dotted throughout the park.
