Visit the home of Abbot Ale, Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen and Ruddles County at the Greene King Visitor Centre, situated next to the Brewery in the heart of the bustling market town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
The 'new' Brew House was built in 1938 and is a wonderful example of art deco architecture with Italian marble flooring and walls on the mash tun floor. There has been a brewery on this site in Bury St Edmunds since at least 1700 and it is still going strong today!
The Visitors Centre encompasses a museum that traces the history of brewing in and around Bury St Edmunds from the earliest times, and the story of the Greene and King families who came together in 1887 to form Greene King and Sons Ltd.
