More than 3400 animals of 300 different species call Adelaide Zoo home! It is focused on conservation, edcuation and research, the zoo is one of Australia's most historic zoo's. It began in 1883 and some of the original architecture still remains for you to explore.

The zoo is beautifully landscaped and offers more than just a day out for the kids. Everybody will find something fascinating to learn about and observe; from Australian native animals, to endangered species, birds and reptiles.

Free Guided Tours of the Zoo leave from outside the Zoo Shop at 10.30am and 2.30pm daily. Botanic Park Gate closes at 3.45pm Monday to Friday (excluding school and public holidays) -this gate may be used to exit the Zoo until 5pm when the Zoo closes.
