Pettys Orchard

Nestled along the Yarra River, Pettys Orchard uniquely encompasses an antique apple orchard, commercial orchard, wetlands and bird hide. Pettys Orchard grows, displays and interprets over 200 different types of antique apples.

Flora & Fauna: Wildlife Lake, the wetland designed and built by park staff, is a year-round attraction and scenic feature of Pettys Orchard. It supports a surprising array of bird and other animal life. The bird hide is located on the north side of the lake and is well worth a visit. Grebes, ducks, swamp hens and coots are a few of the frequently seen inhabitants.

The Demonstration Orchard will be one of the highlights of your visit during the fruiting season when all kinds of apples- striped, spotted, green, red, brown, orange, blue, pear-shaped, oblong. Large and small can be seen.
