The Chelsea Physic Garden is located in the heart of London and is a centre of education, beauty and relaxation, that researches the properties, origins and conservation of over 5000 species of medicinal plants and those of ethno-botanical interest, as well as rare and endangered species.
The Chelsea Physic Garden was founded in 1673 as the Apothecaries' Garden, in order to train apprentices in identifying plants and its close proximity to the river, allowed many non-native plants to survive. Today you can explore the Garden of World Medicine and the Pharmaceutical Garden, where you will see an abundance of wildlife amid the plants.
Honey from the garden beehives is now available in the shop, but due its popularity the honeys limited to one jar per person.
