Tamworth City Gallery

The Tamworth City Gallery provides Tamworth and its surrounding regions with an extensive cultural and educational resource. The gallery hosts many changing exhibitions, public programs and associated activities.

Selections from the permanent collection, which comprises over 700 works, are displayed at regular intervals. The entire collection is available for viewing upon request. Group bookings to view the Gallery and the Collection are welcome and if required a member of staff will be available to discuss specific areas of interest.

Tamworth City Gallery is one of the oldest and largest regional galleries in New South Wales. Established by the City Council in 1919 as an art salon, the Gallery moved to its current premises in 1961. Tamworth City Gallery is open on the following days: Monday - Friday 1000 - 1700 Saturdays 0900 - 1200 Sundays 1000 - 1300.
