The Wollongong Science Centre is not just an educational facility, its a hands-on science centre that stimulates, educates and entertains with over 120 interactive exhibits. Included in the centre is a state of the art Planetarium and Observatory with daily science shows.

The Science Centre has a two story exhibit hall with the exhibits grouped in the themes such as "Electricity", "The Changing Earth", "Energy And Motion", "Vision" and "Astronomy". The Planetarium allows visitors to see how the stars and planets appear in the sky from any location on Earth, at any time from thousands of years in the past to thousands of years in the future.

The Science Centre's opening hours are 10 AM to 4 PM every day including most public holidays. Anyone is most welcome to visit the Science Centre during this time.

Tours
On the weekend there is a planetarium show particularly suitable for young people and families at 12 noon. A show suitable for older audiences screens at 3 PM. A family laser concert is held in the theatre at 1 PM . On weekdays shows are scheduled to suit group bookings. Please call to check availability. School holiday programs follow weekend patterns but extra shows may be programmed. Special group bookings are available in the evenings. Minimum group sizes apply.
