St Michaels Cathedral

St Michael's Provisional Cathedral & Church of England is one of Wollongong's most historical buildings.

The church was designed by Edmund Blacket who was a prominent 19th century architect who originated from England. He was perhaps, Australia's best-known 19th-century architect and his buildings and churches can be found all over the country.

The existing St Michaels Cathedral features some of the original sandstone from the original church that was completed in 1847.
