Newcastle Museum is the largest and most visited museum of its type in Australia mounting an exciting range of permanent and temporary exhibitions of science, industrial, natural and social history. Over 4000 catalogued items from the Museum collection are available for public access.

The museum focuses on Hunter Region history including mining, Aboriginal studies, Newcastle's Earthquake and Hunter Sporting Hall of Fame.

Be sure to bring the family along for a fantastic and fun history lesson like no other! The Newcastle Museum open 6 days a week, from Tuesday through to Sunday, from 10am till 5pm. Open on public holidays and Mondays during all school holidays.
