Situated eighteen kilometres east of Moora, 19km north of Walebing. The Berkshire Valley Folk Museum is part of a building complex rate "a" by the National Trust of Australia. This property was founded by James clinch who came from Cholsey in Berkshire, England.
Arriving in the swan river colony on the "Westmorland" on the 31st December 1839. After his death in 1899, his son Alfred continued farming the property until 1905 when he sold it to the benedictine community of New Norcia. It was purchased from them by Mr Richard Hamilton in 1913 and his grandson Mr F. Hamilton and family, the present owners, have been restoring and maintaining the buildings of the complex.
They have taking great care to preserve the original character, and have donated the use of the mill house building as a district museum. The building complex includes - a colonial homestead with gatehouse 1867, stables 1867, mill house 1869, pig sty 1870, brick arched bridge 1869.
