Perched above the city on Mount Eliza, Kings Park is a breathtaking national park covering over 400ha adjacent to the Perth CBD and Swan River.
Situated only moments from the CBD, the park boasts sweeping parklands, incredible wildflowers (spectacular in spring) and native bushland (two-thirds of the park). The Western Australian Botanic Garden extends south of the State War Memorial, and is planted with 1700 native species.
The State War Memorial was erected in 1929, and the streets of Kings Park are tree lined with individual plaques dedicated by family members to Western Australian Service men and women who died in World War I and World War II.
For Western Australians and for the many interstate and international visitors, Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a place of inspiration, and relaxation.
