Wells, in the see of Bath & Wells boasts a fantastic medieval Cathedral, which towers imposingly over narrow, cobbled streets. The building was started in the late 12c. and boasts one of the finest west fronts in the land, a spectacular north porch and some of the most impressive stained-glass windows around.
The spectacle and splendour of a building such as this, are not lost on even the most confirmed atheists.
