The Castle Of Brecon Hotel is a magnificent historic hotel of character and charm. It was first opened as a coaching inn in the late 17th century, and became the first modern hotel of its kind in Wales in 1809. This Georgian hotel is located beautifully between two rivers, with the ruins of Brecon castle in its gardens and extensive views of the valley of the River Usk and the peaks of the Brecon Beacons.

All of the bedrooms come complete with a private bathroom or shower, colour television, radio, direct dial telephone and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The Brecon hotel offers three types of bedroom, the best being the large south facing rooms with stunning views towards the Brecon Beacons mountains.

The hotel has a cosy restaurant and a large bar, which both serve delicious food using quality local ingredients wherever possible. The south-facing bar and residents lounge are ideal for relaxing at the end of the day. Ample off-road parking for guests.
