A short stroll down Kensington High Street is London's best-kept secret, Holland Park. Set away from its better-known sisters, Hyde and Kensington, this is a small but magical garden.
Holland Park is bursting with manicured lawns, wooded lairs, wild flowers and landscaped gardens, you may even spot a lone peacock meandering along the path. In the summer the park plays host to outdoor concerts and plays, and throughout the year there is a café on the terrace of grand Holland House.
Holland Park is also the home of the Kyoto Japanese Garden, an ecology garden and rose gardens built for the 1991 London Festival of Japan.
