The Fisher Studio & Gallery in Pittenweem is now in it's seventh year. It shows work by a wide range of contemporary artists and craft workers, most of whom work in Scotland. While the majority of the exhibiting artists are well established and popular with collectors, the gallery also encourages new talented artists.
Most of the exhibitions feature the paintings of resident artist Jan Fisher who has exhibited widely in Scotland, London and in Bristol. She taught at the art school in Bristol, and worked as a commercial artist, before moving to the Highlands in 1973.
Craft work in the Fisher Gallery Autumn Exhibition includes ceramics by Paul Marley, driftwood clocks and dolls houses by Garry Brown, bird sculpture by Heloise Maylin, enamel seascapes and other things on copper panels by Lewis Banks, Wenna Crockatt's witty ceramics, pots to use by Oathlaw Pottery and new coloured steel bowls by Rob Mulholland.
