The famous Crown Hotel is a 17th century family run coaching inn and sporting hotel. It is located amongst 3 acres of gardens in the middle of Exford, one of Exmoor's prettiest villages, surrounded by stunning countryside and moorland where Exmoor ponies, red deer and birds of prey roam free.
Bedrooms are dressed in the latest fabrics, have en suite bathrooms, and numerous amenities to make your stay memorable. The hotel's rooms overlook the beautiful water gardens with its fast flowing trout stream. The lawns shaded by the tall trees above make an idyllic spot in summer for small parties or simply enjoying a long, cooling drink.
The elegant candlelit dining room boasts 2 AA Rosettes and, under the auspices of Head Chef Paul Webber. All ingredients are sourced for their quality and, wherever possible, are locally produced. As one would expect of Exmoor's oldest coaching inn, the hotel has a character bar, which is very much the hub of village life. Scrumptious bar food and many local types of ale are served in a candlelit setting beside a roaring log fire.
