The Grampian Transport Museum offers dramatic displays, working exhibits and DVD presentations tracing the history of travel and transport in the North East of Scotland.
They have numerous indoor and outdoor events and shows held at the museum each year. The museum holds many exciting events over the spring and summer, including the Ride-On Fun Day in May, where children can ride the historic vehicles around the purpose built museum track, the classic car show Motorvation, Grampian Truck Show, Shell Eco Marathon and the Grampian Motorcycle Convention and Alford Auction & Autojumble in September.
When you are at the museum you can visit the "Traveller's Rest Cafe" (Open daily in July/August and on Sundays during the rest of the season) for something to eat and drink, and enjoy listening to the Mortier dancehall organ playing.
