The Malt House is a comfortable self catering holiday cottage situated near the border between the counties of Devon and Somerset, in the heart of Exmoor National Park. The self-catering holiday accommodation, with beds for up to 4 people, offers the perfect base for recreational activities such as walking, cycling, fishing, sailing, hiking and riding.
The accommodation, all on the ground floor, is full of character with ancient beams and a large inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is well equipped, including electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Comfortable and spacious living & dining areas with TV. The two bedrooms have pleasant garden views. The bathroom is modern with bath and excellent shower. Heating throughout the accommodation is by off-peak electricity (included in price).
The Malt House was part of the old 'Hare and Hounds' village inn and now shares a cobbled courtyard with the owners' house. The ancient village pound, with lovely views over the Exe valley, forms the Malt House private garden. Off-road parking is available. Children are welcome (well-stocked games cupboard provided!), but no smokers or dogs please.
