You can visit the Isle of may on the "May Princess" boat which runs trips to the Island from April to September, the vessel is well equipped with snack bar and toilets. The Isle of May was christened the jewel of the Forth by Anstruther Pleasure Trips many years ago for good reason, this is truly a beautiful Island, peaceful with stunning scenery everywhere, from the high cliffs and rock formations to the remains of a 12th century monastery.
The Island is a National Nature Reserve (NNR) and is the home of incredible wildlife, which includes eiders, puffins, guillemots and razorbills but also the breeding colony of the grey seals. The island is well known for visiting migrant birds and the island is the best Puffin site in the UK. A truly fascinating wildlife experience in no better place but on the North East coast of Scotland.
