Sopwell Nunnery is a beautiful, romantic ruin, of what used to be a Tudor mansion, built around 1560.
The house was built, on the land of the old medieval nunnery, which its self dates back to 1140.
The Nunnery was designed around the monastic plan, using the church for the hall and the cloisters became the courtyard.
