The Hertford Museum is a local history museum, set in a 17th century town house, surrounded by a beautiful knot garden of intertwined hedges of box and lavender.
The museum displays Hertford's historic past as a royal borough, market for a large rural population and county town. It also contains the Hertfordshire Regiment Collection.
The museum also offers, a changing programme of temporary exhibitions, and gives the visitor a chance, to find out about the history of the county town of Hertfordshire
