The Nuffield Gallery

The Nuffield Theatre Company produces award-winning plays in the main house, studio and on tour - nationally and internationally - to theatres, schools and other non-theatre spaces.The repertoire is wide including new writing and classics from Britain and abroad. Clarity and accessibility are all important, in acting, direction and design, which tends to be striking and simple rather than lavish.

Besides numerous proffessional productions, the theatre also coordinates youth theatre groups and community based theatre. As well as featuring adult theatre producyions, the Nuffield also features childrens theatre as well, such as the ever popular Arabel's Raven.

The Nuffield offers a number of ways in which people can get involved in its activities, from professional development for writers and directors, to fun filled participation activities for local residents.The Writers' Group, which has been in existence for over ten years, spearheads a wide range of research and development work, which also includes traineeships in all departments, platform performances, and play readings.
