This unique and historic Warship takes you on a journey back in time to the days when Britannia ruled the waves.
The classic sailing frigate, launched in 1824, was a fast and powerful warship, and is a unique survivor from the brief transitional period between the traditional wooden sailing ship and the revolutionary iron steamship.
The Unicorn is the oldest British-built warship still afloat, and one of only six ships still surviving built before 1850 anywhere in the world. Visitors can take a fascinating tour of the classic warship which features over 95% of it's original timber while other preserved wooden ships of her age usually include as little as 20% of the actual wood put there by the shipyard that built her.
Unicorn offers an atmospheric setting for private functions and parties. It can comfortably accommodate small groups in the Captain's Cabin, to up to a hundred people on the covered upper deck, and assistance with catering and other requirements can be arranged.
