Porlock Vale Horse Riding

Established in the 30's, the name Porlock Vale has always been synonymous with horses. Excellent instruction for all standards and levels of experience and an individual approach vastly improves rider's abilities. With gentle introductory lessons for adult beginners and refreshers for the rusty, anyone can participate with confidence.

The traditional courtyard stabling is adjacent to the house and surrounded by 25 acres of grounds in which there is 1 indoor school, with viewing gallery, an outdoor manege, Jumping Lanes and a varied cross-country course.

The business has an excellent selection of lovely well-schooled horses from 15.00hh to 17.2hh. Some are more suited to the experienced rider but we have some dependable schoolmasters to suit the novice or timid rider. Here is some of the best riding country in England - ride across wide moorland landscapes and through deep wooded combes - Endless bridleways. Back to nature in wild unspoilt areas you can't reach by car - Red Deer and Exmoor Pony spotting. Perfect.
