The Speyside Way is a long distance walk starting on the Moray Coast. It follows the River Spey to Aviemore, at the edge of the Cairngorm Mountains, a distance of 84 miles including a spur to Dufftown - malt whisky capital and also to Tomintoul, the highest village in Scotland. The Village is home to the Speyside Cooperage where you can watch whisky casks being made in the traditional manner. Why not explore the beautiful countryside by hiring bicycles in the village and, for the more adventurous, Loch Park outdoor centre offers canoeing and other activities. Golfers will find numerous courses in the area with a great diversity in character for which a golfing package is available.
