Bar Convent

The Bar Convent is situated in the heart of York's city centre, with all the attractions in easy walking distance.

The Bar Convent is steeped in history and is the oldest living Catholic convent in England. Guests are provided with a unique experience of warmth and hospitality together with the values and ethos of the staff and surroundings.

The convent hosts 18 guest bedrooms, including four twin, one double and one family room, plus one double, one triple and one twin en suite. All of the rooms are equipped with a range of amenities including their own hand-basin, towels, liquid soap, tissues and hairdryer.
