The Fortune Theatre has been entertaining audience with the smash hit The Woman In Black, directed by Robin Herford, which is now in it's 17th year. This adaptation of Susan Hill's best seller, has a cinematic quality, but still retains all the power and intensity of live theatre.
The production tells the story of a lawyer, who believes him and his family have been cursed by the spectre of the Woman in Black. As he explores the story with a sceptical young actor, the boarders between make believe and reality begin to merge.
The Woman In Black runs for 2 hours including the interval and performances take place every Monday-Saturday at 8.00pm and a matinee occurs on Tuesdays at 3.00pm and Saturday at 4.00pm.
