Mayfield Cottage is situated close to York racecourse. The charming cottage hosts two bedrooms, one double and one twin. In the cosy living room is a Freeview tv, DVD player & PS2 Games system, living flame gas fire, a selection of books, CDs, and DVDs. The cottage also contains a fully equipped kitchen and a selection of tea, coffee, sugar, salt and spices, etc for your convenience.

For the safety of young children, there is a travel cot, high chair, stair gate and fire guard.

Off the separate dining area, a small courtyard, with bbq - perfect for the warm summer months. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, a heated towel rail and plentiful hot water. All utilities, bed linen and towels are included.

Ideally situated, within walking distance of the city walls, leading to a range of attractions including shops, restaurants, York Minster, The Jorvik Viking Centre, The National Railway Museum, to name a few.

Car parking: There is on street parking and a regular bus route on the main road close by, with buses running to various destinations in and around York. There is also a Coastliner coach, which will take you to the beaches of the east coast (approx 1 hour), or to Leeds City Centre for shopping, if you so wish. York Railway Station is also a 5 minute taxi ride away.
Local Area: Close to the cottage there are a wealth of local amentities, including a Post Office, local convenience store, Petrol Station, Florist, Hairdressers, Library, Fish and Chip Shop, Chinese Takeaway and two popular local pubs. One we would recommend for a cooked lunch or cosy supper. The other, with its large screen TVs, is suited to sports enthusiasts. A 5 minute drive, or 15 minute stroll will take you to the nearest large supermarket, where you will find almost anything you require.
