Belvedere

Very pretty restaurant set in Holland Park, one of London's most attractive park areas. Since it's opening, Belvedere has been popular with both locals and outsiders from other areas of London. The Belvedere is particularly popular for Sunday lunch - possibly because with all that greenery you can kid yourself that you've escaped from the wicked City. A complete 'makeover' in April 2000 updated the decor and the cuisine. What's cooking: Parfait of foie gras en gelée, toasted poilâne; Confit of salmon, cauliflower cream Maison Prunier to start, and for mains - Daube of Aberdeen Angus à l'ancienne pomme purée, garnish provençale; Grilled tuna with aubergine caviar sauce vierge au basilic or perhaps Poulet noir with morilles, sauce Albufeira."
